A SERIAL pest to the Warwick community has avoided going to jail despite breaching a suspended sentence he was serving for assault.

Barry Trevor Brown, 18, appeared in the Warwick Magistrates Court yet again on Tuesday to face three charges of public nuisance, the latest in a long line of incidents in which he has been involved.

The court heard Brown had been charged after an incident on the night of April 12 outside a Warwick hotel where he attempted to force his way past security staff preventing him from entering. An intoxicated Brown then took off his shirt and was "ready for a fight" before being subdued by police.

Two further public nuisance charges related to an incident on the evening of July 20 when he intervened while police were questioning one of Brown's acquaintances near the Warwick McDonald's outlet.

The court heard Brown stepped in and insisted his friend had done nothing untoward and started "yelling and screaming abuse" at the officers. …
