FLOATIES are starting to look like a genuine option for the Toowoomba women's Raiders as they battle to save their Football Brisbane Premier League season from sinking.

The Raiders are currently ranked eighth of nine teams, placing them in the firing line for relegation in 2010.

Coach Keren Thomas admits support staff and players are now holding their breath as they attempt to make the congested competition ladder work in their favour.

"All the games from here on in are going to be very interesting. Every game for every team is going to be tough," Thomas said.

"I sat down with one of our captains, Sarah Day, before training and we have been trying to figure out how we can stay afloat.

"It's all very unpredictable because teams are tending to fluctuate - bottom teams are beating the top ones.

"We really just have to get points and hope we can lift out of the bottom two. …
