DISCOVERY Coast regulars the Cunningham clan are surfing into the record books at the Australian Longboard Titles at Port Macquarie this week.

Teen twins George and Ed Cunningham are into the semi-finals of the under-18s while dad Glenn has also made the semi-finals of the men's over-40s at Rainbow Beach on the NSW central coast.

George and Ed also acquitted themselves well in the men's open competition, but went out before the finals to seasoned professionals.

However, George showed the strength of surfing on the Discovery Coast by racking up the highest heat total of day two of competition with 15.25 (out of a possible 20 points) for his two-wave total in tricky conditions.

"It was really fun out there," George said.

"I just went out there and did my own thing, I almost forgot that I was surfing in a contest for a while there.

"I have got an identical twin (Ed), so the rivalry between the two is great for my surfing. …
