IT'S league cup finals day tomorrow in the Wellstream NTSL with Annfield Plain hosting both the Division A and B ties on their ground.

Sacriston get to grips with Tynedale in the Division B final which starts at 11am, while the showpiece Division A game between Lintz and Swalwell is scheduled to start at 3pm. And there will be a new name on the premier cup as neither side has won the trophy before. Given their respective positions in the league table, Swalwell will start as favourites, but Lintz have the potential to spring a surprise and include experienced campaigner Graeme Clennell.

Benwell are well versed in avoiding the drop, having dramatically escaped that fate on the last day in the last two seasons. It looks a tall order, even for them this time around, but a win at Ryton will no doubt fan the flames of hope, although they are missing Nas Rashid, Dave Anderson and Chris Scaife, with Chris Magin and Lee Collis drafted in. In today's other games, Tony Claughan returns to the in-form Sacriston side who are seeking their fifth win in a row, excluding weather draws, at Ashington. …
