Crash probe

INVESTIGATIONS will continue today into the cause of an incident in which a car overturned and caused traffic chaos in North Rockhampton during last night's rush hour.

There were four people in the sedan that landed on its roof after flipping on Gladstone Road, about 5.30pm.

A woman was taken hospital for treatment but three others were not hurt.

Car stolen

ROCKHAMPTON police are investigating the theft of a blue-grey Holden V8 Crewman from a locked garage at an Ibis Avenue home in Kawana on Sunday night.

The vehicle's owner said their home had been broken into and every set of keys taken, between midday and 8pm.

Boy torture

A MAN charged with torturing a four-year-old Rockhampton boy yesterday made a brief appearance in Rockhampton Magistrates Court.

The 26-year-old, charged with torture and assault occasioning bodily harm, has been in custody since he was extradited back to the city from Canberra in June. …
