Owner Not Crazy about Store's Condition as Tenants Pull Plug

Water stains marked ceiling panels, walls were riddled with holes and the floor was coated in grime.

Add to that mess, discarded shopping trolleys, buckets of shop fittings and signage still plastering windows.

This was how Retail Adventures left its Crazy Clark's Pialba store after terminating a contract with private businessman Jamie Bourke on August 17.

"This is the worst I've ever seen a tenancy left. This is the most disgraceful," said Mr Bourke, who has been in commercial real estate for 25 years.

The Gold Coast-based businessman arrived in Hervey Bay on Wednesday to inspect his building. He was disgusted by what he found.

"I couldn't believe it. I was horrified."

Mr Bourke (pictured) said Retail Adventures bought out Crazy Clark's parent company Australian Discount Retail Group after it went into voluntary administration in January.

Australian Discount Retail Group owned hundreds of Crazy Clark's, Go-Lo and Sam's Warehouse stores across Australia - now believed to be owned by Retail Adventures. …
