Victim stable

GRAFTON woman Valerie Haywood, 62, is still in a serious but stable condition following Friday's two car accident at Urunga.

Mrs Hayward was trapped in her vehicle for nearly one hour before being freed by emergency crews and taken to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle was 45-year-old New Zealand tourist Bruce Morrison.

He escaped with minor injuries.
