IAN BOGIE insists he will not walk out on Gateshead - but admits if results do not improve his future at the International Stadium will be out of his hands.

The Tynesiders boss has worked wonders leading his side to successive promotions.

Yet defeat at Kettering on Tuesday was Gateshead's fifth in seven games in Blue Square Premier.

That prompted Bogie to fear that. unless his team's fortunes took a turn for the better,he will not be at Gateshead much longer.

However, that was not to suggest the former Newcastle United midfielder would leave the club - who entertain Salisbury City tomorrow - of his own accord.

Bogie said: "The fate of a manager is decided by results, I am fully aware of that.

"I am not naive, I have been in the game a long time and I know how things work.

"I am not going to walk, but if things do not start improving quickly I might not have much say in the matter. …
