A 25-year-old French woman injured her ankle after jumping from the top of a brick wall into Cox lane in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Coffs Harbour police alleged that the tourist had been ejected from the Coffs Harbour Hotel by security staff due to intoxication, but kept trying to get back in.

They said she attempted to get in the back by climbing to the top of a brick wall off the laneway and when she jumped down she turned her ankle.

Police issued her with a $550 infringement notice for attempting to re-enter licensed premises

She was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus by ambulance for treatment.

Boats everywhere

COFFS Harbour Volunteer Coastal Patrol reported a very busy weekend to go with the great weather conditions on the water.

RVCP's Bill McCarron said there were 30 boats out on Saturday and one incident with a 5.45m runabout calling for assistance with mechanical problems.

When Coffs Rescue 2 arrived they were able to start the vessel and the runabout returned to the marina under their own power. …
