Round Up Begins for Rodeo Fun at Creek

THE Apple Tree Creek Rodeo is charging into town.

The rodeo will feature open, rookie and junior bull rides, open bare back and open saddle bronc rides, ladies' barrel race, the local barrel race and a junior steer ride.

Some of the top rodeo riders in Australia will be competing, including the likes of Dale Bougoure (saddle bronc rider) and local all-round cowgirl Katie Vaughan.

The event will be held on October 17 at the Apple Tree Creek Rodeo grounds.

Entry is $10 for adults, $5 for students, $2 for primary school children and under fives are free.

Gates will open at 3pm for a 5pm start.

All are welcome, but are asked to leave their dogs and eskies at home. For more information, telephone Doug Schofield on 0417 628 656.

Hall birthday dance

THE Apple Tree Creek Memorial Hall is hosting a dance night on Saturday to celebrate the hall's birthday.

The dance will commence at 7.30pm.
