A pregnant woman was killed Tuesday in a crash in Jacksonville, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Virginia Nicole Liming, 19, was in the back of a pickup truck going east on Normandy Boulevard, according to the Highway Patrol.

The blue truck made an illegal turn into a mobile home park about 4:15 p.m. and collided with a maroon pickup going west, Lt. Bill Leeper said. The woman, who was seven months pregnant, was thrown from the pickup bed. The unborn child did not survive.

Leeper said three people were in the front of the blue pickup and two others in back with the woman. He wasn't sure how many people were in the maroon pickup.

Normandy Boulevard had to be closed between Blair Road and Parrish Cemetery Road because of the crash.
