Highly Trained Officers Get Down to Bare Facts

OH, no! Not again! Now we have naked policemen - and aren't they in trouble with the chair-borne commandos?

You would think it was the end of civilisation, they way it's being beaten up, when all it was was a group of young blokes running around naked and it would be hard to identify them, as they weren't in uniform.

So what? They were letting off a bit of steam, evidently caused by a bucks' party.

They aren't the first and won't be the last.

What abysmal stupidity. These are the most highly (and expensively) trained men (and women) in our police force. We all have heard of the "thin blue line" between the civilian population and anarchy.

Well, they are it, they are the ones who have to go to hostage situations, terrorism acts and other crises that entail trained use of firearms, skills as negotiators and other specialised training.

We need them far more than some of the desk-warmers who seem to proliferate.

Their job would be one of the most stressful in society and the least thankful, as the general public seldom see their faces and they do not receive any public support for their bravery. …
