STOCKTON Town FC proved too tough a proposition for league new boys Tollesby Athletic Under-12s in a one-sided League Cup second round tie.

The sides clashed in the September sunshine at the Dormans ground on Oxford Road, in Middlesbrough, but there was to be no giant-killing.

Stockton, who finished fourth in last season's Division One table, were simply too hot to handle for Division Six newcomers Tollesby, who are looking forward to receiving their brand new team kits in the next few days.

Town's coach, Chris Moody, paid tribute to his players, saying: "They are a fantastic bunch of lads, I've been coaching this group since they were just eight-years-old.

"On the day their experience told but Tollesby have only been going for six weeks or so, so fair play to them."

Sean Turner grabbed a hat-trick while Michale Moody, James Ascough and Harry Wattis each weighed in with two apiece.

Tyley Hulme, William Orchard, Rory Sawyer, Luke Armatage and Rhys Greenwood were also on target for Stockton. …
