Lemonade Stands Helping Fight Child Hunger in Florida; Kids at a Camp Ki Tov Set Up a Stand to Help Local Food Banks

Lemonade stands at recent summer day camps all across Jacksonville did their part to help put an end to hunger for children in Northeast Florida.

Children who attended the Jacksonville Jewish Center's Camp Ki Tov spent part of their time setting up a lemonade stand to help raise funds for the Second Harvest Food Bank of North Florida as part of Panera Bread's Lemonade for Hunger Aid Summer 2009 Campaign.

"Our children are really excited about being able to help other children here in Jacksonville," said Erica Jolles, director of Camp Ki Tov.

As parents picked up their children on a Friday afternoon at Camp Ki Tov - which means "'tis good" in Hebrew - they were greeted by enthusiastic campers at a lemonade stand set up at the covered entrance to the center. Panera donated the lemonade sold by the Camp Ki Tov campers.

Panera is also doing more than just donating lemonade to Camp Ki Tov and other day camps to sell at fundraisers throughout Jacksonville. …
