Home Victory Sparks Lads Up; Much Hard Work and Things to Do

FOOTBALL: It was great to finally get the win at home and you can see the bounce in the boys' step this week, but apart from that, nothing has really changed at training.

There's still plenty of hard work and still plenty of things to go over before we jump on our flight for the rematch against Gold Coast United.

We're coming off a fantastic 2-1 win over Perth at home while United will be hurting from a 0-6 thumping by the Wellington Phoenix - I know how much they'll be hurting because we copped the same sort of punishment in Round 2.

A lot of people were hurt by our 0-5 loss to Gold Coast - I was hurting, the players and everyone around the club.

Hopefully the players who were there last time and those who come in will still feel a bit of that and remember how quiet the trip back from the stadium was and back at the motel and even training for the next few days.

Tomorrow night at Skilled Park is going to be a massive challenge for the Fury because it will really show how far we've come as a team - one way or the other. …
