THE temporary ceasefire in the war for talent is over, according to Manpower Rockhampton, and local companies should brace themselves for a renewed battle to attract staff.

"Employers should now be looking to the future and starting to grow their talent pool again, while also looking at ways to increase the productivity of existing staff at all levels," Berni Jakstas, business manager at Manpower Rockhampton, said.

"Solving the talent problem is not an impossible task, but it requires taking an integrated, strategic approach to talent management, from planning and sourcing to training, development and retention."

Ms Jakstas said Manpower could deliver a range of services that spanned the whole employment life cycle - from strategy and forecasting, attracting and supplying the right resources, to deployment and management.

"Manpower isn't 'just another employment agency'- while we have strong experience in providing permanent and temporary placements, that's not all we do.

"Manpower offers a wide range of tools to assist in the selection, development and management of employees.
