ONE man, $12 million and the dilapidated "old" Woollen Mills site has been transformed into one of the finest industrial estates in Warwick.

"It's not just me, the whole community has gotten behind this project," TRE Developments director and Woollen Mills redeveloper Dave Cooke said.

"We've spent about $12 million on the whole site but I reckon about $5 million has been injected into the local economy as we've used - wherever possible - local contractors, labourers and business."

From Kenilworth Street, the most obvious transformation is the blue exterior, but inside there is little trace of the once exposed roof beams where pigeons cooed into the emptiness.

"We've had to relocate a few nests," Mr Cooke said.

"It's got a new lease on life as it's sat idle for about four to five years.

"I've been here developing for about 18 months."

APN Print is in the process of relocating from its cramped Albion Street site to its new 2960 m sq abode at the old mill and expects to employ a further 10 people to keep up with demand as it expands operations. …
