Rocky Fan Wishes He Could Have Tailed Tiger

IF Rockhampton's Jeffrey Hoy would have had a spare $500 a few weeks ago there's a chance he'd be rubbing shoulders with golfing superstar Tiger Woods in the coming days.

But the closest Jeffrey, 29, is set to get to the world's best will be as a fan of the Australian Masters competition on the television.

Even then he might not get to see as much of the action as he'd like of Tiger, the world's richest sportsman.

As the assistant professional at the Rockhampton Golf Club, Jeffrey could be kept busy this weekend as more people pick up their clubs and head out for a hit.

While Jeffrey remains in the Beef Capital, there are others from Rockhampton who have gone down to Melbourne to be as close as possible to the action.

Real estate agent and golfing enthusiast Bradd Dillon is among a group of eight Rockhampton people flying to Melbourne tomorrow.

Yesterday, Bradd said he was working out how to get as close as possible to seeing Tiger play. …
