"I JUST knocked old mate out."

Two men testified yesterday in a manslaughter trial that a man in a white T-shirt said those words as he left the scene of Josh Mill's death in a Caloundra street two years ago.

Brodie MacDonald and Daniel Turner, who were testifying on the seventh day of the trial, said they had met up with a man named Luke, who was wearing a white T-shirt, earlier in the night.

Lucas James Walsh and Gregory Keith Lynam have pleaded not guilty in Brisbane Supreme Court to unlawfully killing Mr Mill.

The Crown case is that Mr Walsh was wearing a white T-shirt and Mr Lynam was wearing a white singlet.

Both men said they saw Luke in a fight outside the Tonic nightclub in Bulcock Street in the early hours of October 20, 2007.

Mr Turner said his friend, Mr MacDonald, was hit in the head by someone in the melee.

They then walked away, he told the court.

He said Luke joined them as they walked up the street but then disappeared while they sat down. …
