Peacock Desperate to Avoid Repeat; RUGBY LEAGUE

ENGLAND captain Jamie Peacock has vowed there will be no repeat of his side's humiliating 2004 Tri-Nations final defeat by Australia when the sides meet in the Gillette Four Nations decider tomorrow. Great Britain were confident of turning over the Kangaroos five years ago after beating them a fortnight earlier and topping the group - but they were brought crashing to earth with a 44-4 hammering.

Elland Road will once more be the setting as Peacock's men look to finally topple Australia in a series for the first time since 1970 and put their World Cup heartache behind them.

"We came into that game in 2004 as favourites but we're going into this one as underdogs which is great," Peacock - one of three survivors from that Great Britain side - told a Press conference in Leeds.

"It's always good to go into a final as underdogs. There's no pressure on you.

"There was quite a bit of pressure put on us in 2004. The Aussies came up with a great performance and we didn't deliver that day. …
