- Drop by The Bookmark at 7 p.m. Tuesday to meet Betsy Carter. She will discuss and sign copies of her new novel, "The Puzzle King." Inspired by a family legend, the book is set during World War I. Carter is known for her titles such as "The Orange Blossom Special" and "Swim to Me." Her memoir, "Nothing to Fall Back On" (2002), hit best-seller lists. - First Coast author William "Ron" Little will sign copies of his book, "Roadside Bombs and Democracy," from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at Books-A-Million at the Orange Park Mall, 1910 Wells Road.


- The Historical Society of Palm Beach County has published "Laura Woodward: The Artist Behind the Innovator Who Developed Palm Beach" (Blue Heron Press, 264 pages, $39.99). Author Deborah Pollack describes how artist Laura Woodward's paintings of 19th century Palm Beach and its environs influenced railroad magnate Henry Flagler to develop the area.

- Fausto Gardini of Jacksonville has published an ebook, "Storms Over Luxembourg," and it's available at the price is $19.95. The book details the German invasion of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg at the beginning of World War I and its aftermath.

- "Twelve Years With A Wolfdog" (CreateSpace, 272 pages, $14.95), a new book by Florida author Nicholas Powell, chronicles the story of his travels with Cody, a wolf-malamute mix. …
