"MAGICAL, marvellous and amazing" were just a few words used to describe the Moore Park Beach Christmas Carols on Saturday night.

More than 1000 people flocked to the seaside carols to enjoy the night of marvellous music, fantastic food and charming company.

Moore Park Lions events co-ordinator Jan Refeld was an organiser of the carols and was "thrilled" with the turn out.

"People were saying it was the best carols they have ever been to," she said.

"We have had nothing but positive feedback."

The evening of free fun was provided by the Moore Park Lions and the Community Association who provided candles, programs and Christmas gifts for the kids.

The fun began at 4.30pm with a party for local kids that included a merry-go-round, jumping castle and a visit from Santa.

The carols followed at 6.30pm and were led by 50 students from the Moore Park State School Choir and a performance by the Hinkler Harmony Group. …
