Family in Fear as a Man Stabs Car Tyre in Odd Attack

A MAN who raised a knife at a family before running it down a car and stabbing a tyre faced two charges in court on Friday.

Marcus Noel Parsons, 18, of Bundaberg was charged with possession of a knife in public and wilful damage after the November 14 incident.

Parsons entered a Bourbong Street premises, where he worked part-time and where the victim was a regular patron.

Police prosecutor, Sergeant Robyn Shapcott, said the defendant approached the victim and punched her in the back, before leaving the centre.

The court was told the victim and her daughters later left the premises and saw Parsons approach them from an alley.

"He had his left hand above his head and was holding on to a knife," Sgt Shapcott said.

The blade of the knife was running along the defendant's arm.

The police prosecutor said the man went to the victim's car and ran the knife down the whole passenger side of the vehicle before stabbing a front tyre. …
