A PREGNANT woman lost her unborn baby when she was stabbed in the stomach by her neighbour, a court heard.

Prosecutors say Nicola Buglass knifed young mum Kerry Richardson after she cast doubt on Buglass' abilities as a mother to her young baby.

The pair had lived in adjoining upstairs and downstairs flats on Brinkburn Street, East Howdon, North Tyneside, with their partners and had been friends before the incident.

But on November 24 last year when the two couples and others were socialising, Miss Richardson's sister, Julie, had told Buglass she thought she was neglecting her baby.

An argument developed during which Buglass scratched Julie Richardson's face and then Buglass' partner, Marc Winter, armed himself with a meat cleaver and kitchen knife and threatened to use them if there was any more trouble. …
