Meet Donna and the Dynamos - aka Leanne Rogers, Jackie Clune and Kate Graham, who play the principal roles in Mam-ma Mia! which starts its fiveweek run in Newcastle tonight. We were given exclusive backstage access to the show before its first dress rehearsal yesterday.

Jackie Clune plays Donna, with Kate Graham as Tanya and Leanne Rogers as Rosie, and all were excited to be launching the international tour's sixth year.

Jackie has returned to the role of Donna, while Kate, from Teesside, and who has family on Tyneside, is looking forward to her first stint in the world's number one show.

Leanne, meanwhile, has left the London West End production, which has been running for 10 years, to join the tour.

For Mamma Mia! they are kitted out in costumes suited for a Greek island, but braved the freezing fog of Tyneside for these exclusive pictures.

Donna and the Dynamos are central to the plot, and rekindle their old 'band' on the eve of Donna's daughter Sophie's wedding, performing ABBA's last number one UK single Super Trouper. …
