Women Face Court over CBD Assaults; Pair Held in Custody since Arrest at Weekend

TWO women charged with assault and robbery arising from two separate incidents in Toowoomba's central business district on Saturday night appeared before the city's Magistrates Court yesterday.

Kaysahn Trinity Gordon, 26, and Rebecca-Lee Faye Hill, 22, had been held in custody since their arrest at the weekend.

Police claim the pair assaulted a woman outside The Cube nightclub about 10.19pm, punching the woman in the face before stealing her mobile phone.

The pair is then accused of moving along Neil Street where they came across three males sitting in a parked car opposite the Empire Theatre.

One of the women is alleged to have approached the men demanding their mobile phones and wallets.

Police claim the women then attacked the men with their handbags before one entered the vehicle and continued the assault.

One of the complainant men claimed to have been bitten on the back during the incident. …
