IT looks as though the weather could play havoc with this weekend's fixtures and there were early casualties in the Pin Point Recruitment Northern Alliance.

The Premier Division games involving Cramlington Town and Murton, and Heaton Stannington against Newcastle University, were called off last night and there were more postponements in the Kicks Leisure League Cup.

The scheduled third round ties of Shankhouse-Gosforth Bohemians, Cullercoats Custom Planet against Heddon and Newcastle Chemfica-Ponteland United all suffered early postponements. Wark are six points in front of defending champions Walker Central at the head of the Premier Division table.

Weather permitting, Wark are involved in a third round tie of the Kicks Leisure League Cup this afternoon, at home to Harraby Catholic Club. Wark's diversion would give Walker an opportunity to trim the deficit.

Mike Jeffels is due to take his team to face third-placed hosts Killingworth Sporting. …
