Triple J Takes Zoe's Wit across Nation

ZOE Coombs Marr is a funny woman - and by that I mean funny ha ha.

And regular Triple J broadcaster Sam Simmons agrees.

Having seen one of Zoe's performances with her regular theatre trio Post, the quirky comic asked Zoe, a former Graftonian, to join him as a guest in four weekly broadcasts - the last of which was aired nationally yesterday from 11am to noon.

Zoe, who has achieved critical acclaim for several of her projects and various other performances, said she was honoured to be asked to broadcast on Triple J.

"I was basically asked to go in and have a conversation with Sam," she said.

"I was extremely nervous before the first one ... it's definitely the biggest audience I have ever performed to."

Without wishing to pre-empt anything, Zoe said she would welcome a callback from Triple J for a regular spot.

Though some of the content of Zoe's broadcast cannot be published in The Daily Examiner, she did make reference to Christmas dinner at her family's Clarenza farm and how she had been eating lots of meat in her short break. …
