CBI North East's Future Leaders programme develops senior talent in the private sector by giving them a greater understanding of the policy context for business in the region. This is an opportunity for businesses in the region to develop leadership capacity within their organisations while ensuring people develop a wide network of contacts in the region.

The programme aims to identify rising stars from the private sector, with the talent to lead, and a commitment to contributing to the region's progress. Through exposure to a programme of unique and stimulating personal development opportunities participants build the skills and knowledge to make a big impression on the North East's future. The CBI balances a strong regional presence with a leading national and international policy team and can therefore ensure the programme tackles regional issues as part of the wider strategic economic environment.
