REIGNING Australian champion Garry Brazier is backing his crew to give him the winning edge when he takes his place in a sizzling sprintcar line-up at Charlton Raceway on Sunday night.

Brazier - a six-time national champion - heads a field described by Charlton Raceway president Doug Schultz as the "best ever" assembled in Toowoomba when they meet in round 10 of the World Series Sprintcar Championship.

Included in the field are six visiting American drivers including Jason Johnson and Bud Kaeding who has impressed in recent Australian victories.

Toowoomba trio Andrew Scheuerle, Cameron Gessner and Peter Lack will also be in action alongside series leader Brooke Tatnell and second-placed Robbie Farr.

"It's an unbelievable list of drivers headed by Garry Brazier who is currently the best in the business," Schultz said.

"I'd say it would have to be the biggest and best sprintcar line-up we've ever seen in Toowoomba. …
