THE female cricketers from Warwick had a successful weekend with the ball in both Toowoomba and Brisbane.

Delissa Kimmince and Carly Cooper had a combined five wins from five games.

Kimmince played for the Queensland Fire in one game at the Gabba and two at Allan Border Oval.

She took 2-14 off seven overs in a Queensland Fire eight-wicket victory against ACT in a 50-over game on Saturday. She dismissed two of the first four ACT batters. Kimmince was four not out as Queensland scored 2-104 to win easily.

Yesterday, Queensland scored 7-228 to beat the ACT score of 150 in a 50-over game. Kimmince took 1-17 off six overs.

On Friday night in the women's Twenty20 game before the men's Big Bash at the Gabba, Kimmince batted at first drop and was second top scorer with 19 for Queensland in a 7-120 to 8-119 victory against ACT. The Warwick pace bowler took two wickets with the ball.

Kimmince will play for Queensland in the Twenty20 game against Western Australia on Saturday night and then two 50-over a side games on Sunday and Monday at Allan Border Oval. …
