I don't buy when people complain about New Year's resolutions. What's wrong with an annual excuse to try to improve? The key with them is not to set yourself up to fail. Don't shout, "This year, I will lose 47 pounds, add $75,000 to my savings account and cure a rare degenerative disease!" I've found my best successes are when I pick things that are reasonable but still challenging. Then in December, I celebrate my little victories. This year, we decided to ask some local leaders, community members and Sun staffers to chime in with their resolutions. Hopefully, you will be inspired. Happy New Year!
