Shola Sets Sights on Double Joy; We're after League and FA Cup Glory

SHOLA AMEOBI says he is firmly believes that Newcastle United can taste success in both the Coca-Cola Championship AND the FA Cup this season.

Ameobi is hoping he is in the starting XI against Plymouth Argyle tonight and battling for the holy grail.

The eight-goal Toon striker is a big fan of the competition and helped the Magpies reach the semi-finals of the cup in 2005.

Back then, a worn-out Newcastle side were gunned down 4-1 by Manchester United, with Ameobi grabbing a consolation goal for the black-and-whites in Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.

Newcastle have not ventured beyond the fourth round since that run by Graeme Souness' side - and Ameobi feels that the Championship league leaders need to address the situation.

He told the Chronicle: "We want to do as well as we can in this cup, "If we could have won there in Plymouth it would have been one less game, but we have to do what we have to do.

"Obviously we set out to try and win it, but it was played in tough conditions. …
