Massa Insists He's Getting on Brilliantly with Alonso Now

FELIPE MASSA said today he is already enjoying a great relationship with new Ferrari team-mate Fernando Alonso and insisted they have put past differences behind them.

The drivers traded insults after an their cars collided during the European Grand Prix at the Nurburgring in 2007.

They clashed again last year when, after details of Crashgate emerged, Massa wrongly claimed Alonso was aware of the plot by Renault to fix the 2008 race in Singapore. Spaniard Alonso left Renault in November to take Kimi Raikkonen's place at Ferrari and during a pre-season team ski retreat in Italy, Massa spoke of the spirit within the camp.

"Things have started extremely well," said the Brazilian. "We've already started to speak a lot about the car and what to do to have a competitive season.

"I've spoken more to Fernando now than in three years with Kimi.

"Perhaps this was not difficult because Kimi did not like to speak much, but I also worked extremely well with Kimi, even without speaking. …
