WHY can't I have my cake and eat it too?

Yep, Generation Y is always in the kitchen hoping for the best ingredients to make that delicious cake.

I hate to admit it, but I can sometimes be a typical Gen Y baby. Born in the mid-1980s I am in the thick of a generation always questioning why?

Why can't I buy my own house now; why can't I have a killer body and still eat 20 Ferrero Rocher; why can't I go on an overseas holiday and still buy an expensive pair of shoes?

Why did that person get a promotion and not me? Why don't I have a dream job and why can't I have everything now!

Unlike a two-year-old who is constantly asking why to learn more about the world around them - Gen Y-ers internally ask why in order to get ahead, to achieve everything now and ask other questions later.

As a generation of 20-somethings we always want things well beyond our reach and when we don't get what we want we move on, find something else, because it all gets too hard. …
