Following are crimes and other incidents reported recently in the Riverside, Avondale and surrounding Westside areas, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office:

BURGLARY:

Apartment at 5710 Lenox Ave. - A gold necklace, two gold bracelets and earrings were stolen between 11:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Sunday after someone kicked open a door.

1300 block of Rensselaer Avenue - A laptop computer valued at $1,200 was stolen between 4:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and 12:40 p.m. Sunday after someone kicked in a door and ransacked a bedroom.

800 block of Owen Avenue - Two diamond rings, a pearl necklace, diamond earrings and a topaz ring were stolen with a jewelry box between 6 p.m. Jan. 1 and 9 p.m. Jan. 5 after a window was forced open.

3500 block of Rosselle Street - A man in dark clothing kicked in a door around 10 p.m. Jan. 6, but fled when the resident inside turned on a light.

1800 block of Avondale Circle - A 45-year-old homeless man was arrested at 10:11 a. …
