Baker Steps Back So Big Guns Can Fire Up

TERRANORA Lakes captain Leigh Baker is happy to take his place at the bottom of the batting order with several big guns returning to their line-up for today's key clash with Casino.

Having dominated the LJ Hooker League this season, Casino will be a tough challenge for a Terranora side looking to keep its season alive at Bilambil.

However, Baker is confident that his full-strength team can hand the competition front-runners their first loss for the year.

"We have it over them a little, because we beat them last year," he said.

"Our guys batted well and put on a score and they choked a little.

"They are frontrunners and I think if we put the pressure on them early then we can come up with the win."

Baker said the return of leading all-rounder Craig Bonner would strengthen the batting line-up and add some bowling punch.

While the McMahon brothers, Luke and Corey, will also add to Terranora's batting depth. …
