A MATT Lobsey catch triggered scenes of jubilation at Ulmarra on Saturday as Westlawn snatched a come-from-behind victory over a shell-shocked Tucabia Blue side.

It was left to bowling sensation John Blanch to produce the goods for the final wicket and he didn't disappoint. Blanch fired the ball into the pads of Tucabia's Ryan Whitton who skied the ball to the safe hands of Lobsey at short mid-wicket.

Blanch once again was the main destroyer with the ball taking 6-58 and in doing so increased his season tally to 41.

Needing 170 for victory and starting the day in a sound position at 2-69 Tucabia Blue capitulated to be all out for 162.

It's the fourth time this season Westlawn have managed to get out of jail which indicates they have what it takes to win the tight matches.

"It was a tenacious win," a delighted Tony Blanch said yesterday.

"There have been a few games this year where we were in trouble but we seem to have this unwillingness to lose. …
