Decision confirmed

A MAGISTRATE in Grafton Local Court has confirmed a decision to refuse bail to a 41-year-old Tyndale woman facing charges over her part in the murder of a grazier near Tamworth last October.

Ganene Gaye Coulter faced charges of being an accessory before and after the fact and conspiracy to murder as well as possessing a prohibited drug.

Relief for farmers

THE latest rainfall has brought welcome relief for drought-affected areas and farmers across NSW.

Minister for Primary Industries Steve Whan said the latest drought figures indicated 65.7 per cent of the State remains in drought, a drop of 16 per cent since last month.

"As we approach the end of summer some parts of NSW are in a good position, they have experienced steady, soaking rain which has filled dams and creeks," Mr Whan said.

"Importantly, this rain has also injected some life back into the pastures, providing a real morale boost for those living on the land. …
