Fresh from winning a Grammy for Best Reggae Album, Stephen Marley will stop at Freebird Live at 200 First St. N. in Jacksonville Beach.

Marley's album, "Mind Control" (the acoustic version) won the Grammy over albums by old-time favorite Gregory Isaacs, Sean Paul, Buju Banton, and his brother Julian Marley.

Marley, son of Bob Marley, started his music career as a child in Ziggy Marley and The Melody Makers. His solo debut came in early 2007.

HAITI RELIEF CONCERT

Tonight

A concert to benefit Haiti earthquake survivors will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Florida Coastal School of Law, 8787 Baypine Road in Southside.

Entry is a $5 donation the door, or bring canned goods or other nonperishable food, clothes, hygiene items, blankets, sleeping bags, flash lights or batteries. A raffle offering items from Mellow Mushroom, Starbucks, Tinseltown and other local businesses will also be held.

Donations will go to Mission Harvest of America and UNICEF's Haiti relief effort.

GREAT GUITAR GATHERING

Tonight

Laurence Juber, former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney's band, Wings, will headline the 17th annual Great Guitar Gathering. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Florida Theatre, 128 E. Forsyth St. Classical guitarist Lily Afshar and the Douglas Anderson Guitar Orchestra will also be featured.

THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS

They Might Be Giants will play for more mature listeners instead of little tykes on Tuesday night at Freebird Live. Doors open at 8 p.m.

They'll perform all of their most popular record, "Flood," their 1990 major label debut featuring the songs "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)," "Birdhouse In Your Soul" and "Particle Man." They have several more "adult" shows coming up, but Jacksonville and Richmond, Va. …
