10yo Ready to Brave a Shave; Advertising and a Sick Friend Prompt Father and Son to Join World's Greatest Shave

AT only 10 years old, Zachery Viola was touched by the advertisements for the World's Greatest Shave and wanted to do his part to help ease the pain of leukaemia patients.

"I had a friend in my grade last year and she had leukaemia, she is better now but she still has to be very careful," Zachery said.

"She told me about her experience and I just thought it would be fun to collect money and help people."

Zachery has partnered with his dad, Anthony, and they both have set the target to raise $500 for the cause and are nearly halfway there.

He is one of the youngest registered to shave their head in the Darling Downs region and has been eagerly seeking donations in the area to reach his achievable target.

"I care about helping people and want to help them feel better," Zachery said.

Mr Viola and Zachery will step up on Saturday morning to have the chop and he is excited about having a bald head.

"I am not too worried about the cold weather coming because my hair grows really fast," Zachery said. …
