Entertaining Is a Family Affair for the Lanzons; Les Mis Lights Up the Stage

THERE was never any question as to whether Brent Lanzon would be in the 2010 production of Les Miserables - it was in his blood. Performing in Les Mis is as much part of being a Lanzon as sport is part of being a Johns.

In the first Gladstone performance of Les Mis 15 years ago there were 13

Lanzon family members making up the cast including Brent's parents.

This time round there are four Lanzons and it's time for the next generation of the family to get involved and put their own stamp on the famous roles.

Lanzon will be playing the lead of Jean Valjean and he said it was an honour to play the role of the ex-convict.

"I've grown up with the musical and the songs. I watched Mum and Dad in it 15 years ago and I wanted to be in it back then," he said

"It's such a privilege to play my favourite role in my favourite musical. It's such a beautiful story - such good morals."

As well as a long history with Les Mis, Lanzon also has a long history of performing in musicals and community theatre. …
