ENGLAND expect to find out more tonight about the extent of the injury problems in their seam bowling department.

Having already lost lead paceman James Anderson before the tour to Bangladesh started, team director Andy Flower will pack Ryan Sidebottom (thigh) on a plane back to England before awaiting the results of MRI scans on Stuart Broad and Durham pace-man Graham Onions.

The pair were favourites to take the new ball in the twomatch Test series against the Tigers, but have both been hit by back complaints.

Broad sustained his midspell in the second ODI victory, while Onions appears to have developed a problem since touching down in Dhaka last week.

Tim Bresnan, who was originally selected in the oneday squad only, has been asked to stay on for the remainder of the tour, while highly-rated Middlesex quick Steven Finn has been summoned as cover.

That move alone suggests there is genuine concern over the participation of at least one of the stricken pair, but Flower is eager to wait for more information. …
