What's with the Goth image?

I actually don't consider myself a very dark person at all. Ask any of my friends, I'm really quite light.

I just go with what works and I work with people I like.

Are you a big supporter of the Prince's Trust?

Yes. For me it's important because I was a kid with big ideas, but I wasn't from a privileged background. When kids see people they know from telly, it helps them realise that they can do it.

Who inspired you?

I always liked Jodie Foster because she used to be a child actress. I thought, 'If she can do it, I can.'

You have a lot going on this year, haven't you?

I'm in the play The Little Dog Laughed until 10 April and then I have four films coming out, three within two months. Time for a holiday? Completely.

Are you excited about meeting Prince Charles?

Yes. But I'm also very excited about meeting Sir Michael Caine.
