Well, spring is finally starting to roll around to Jacksonville, and we all know what that means ... more skating! That's right. This is a great time to take advantage of being able to skate without a big bulky jacket and without sweating so much you could waterlog your board with it. Also, along with nice weather, spring brings the annual Spring Fling armature contest held by Kona Skate Park, which will start at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17. I strongly advise preregistration, given the madhouse the contest is. The fee is $25 or $30. For more information, visit konaskatepark.com.

Also, spring break is coming up and with a full week off school, some of you might be making plans to go on a skate trip. Or you could just be trying to find the nearest skate park to where your parents take you. Either way, check out skateamerica.com and look at the bottom left part of the screen and it will say "skate parks." Click on that and you can see a list of skate parks all over the country, which is cool. …
