Tiger Pleads with Fans to Turn Jeers into Cheers When He Plays Masters

TIGER Woods used his first television interview since his shameful private life was exposed to ask fans to cheer for him when he makes his golfing comeback.

The billionaire sports star said he was "nervous" about the reception he would get from fans when he plays at the US Masters adding: "It would be nice to hear a couple of claps here and there."

The interview with US sports channel ESPN interview, is seen as part of a calculated public relations drive to ease him back into the public eye as he prepares for the major tournament on 8 April, where he starts as 4-1 favourite to win the title.

The 34-year-old also admitted to living a "life of a lie" and said confessing to the affairs was one of the lowest points of his life.

Woods said his wife Elin Nordegren was "hurt, shocked and "angry" when he told her about his infidelities. He also admitted that being confronted with his behaviour at a sex addiction clinic showed him the "ugly truth" of who he was. …
