PRIMROSE Hill Under-10Bs went to Merrington knowing that only a win would keep the title dream alive, and what a cracker it turned out to be.

Straight from the off a move by Begg, which was lashed on to Wilson whose pile drive of a shot was parried away by the Kirk keeper.

Primrose piled the pressure on and shots by Leeming and Lyons were well saved once again by the Kirk keeper. The game was now flowing from end to end and a long cross by Liam Allison, who had the vision to see Leeming on his own, gathered the cross to rifle home Primrose Hill's first goal. Primrose Hill peppered the Kirk keeper with more shots but the keeper was in fine form and kept the score at 1-0 at the interval.

The second half saw Primrose out of the starting blocks quickest with powerful runs by Zak Hughes but the keeper carried on his fine form to frustrate the Primrose Hill attacks. …
