Cyclones Are Becalmed at Star's Call-Up

BASKETBALL: It's an invitation that is "too good to refuse" but it may put Rockhampton's Hog's Breath CafE[umlaut] Cyclones on the back bench.

Cyclones' and Australian Opals player Abby Bishop has been handed a golden opportunity to train with the Seattle Storm Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) team in the United States later this month.

"Playing in the WNBA has been a goal of mine since leaving the Australian Institute of Sport, and to be presented with an offer to participate in a training camp for Seattle is just too good to refuse," Bishop said.

Although the trial chance is every player's dream, it has left Rockhampton Basketball a little out in the dark.

But operations manager Jamie Boon couldn't be more pleased for Abby.
