PAT Rogers found many friends and has held many positions in the VIEW organisation, locally and nationally.

VIEW stands for Voice, Interest and Education of Women and raises funds for The Smith Family charity.

During her time as national councillor she visited many clubs and met a lot of club members.

She was born at Cracow in Central Queensland where she went to primary school before completing her secondary education at Ipswich Girls' Grammar School.

She worked in an accounts office in Ipswich before having two daughters and being widowed at 33 bringing up the children alone.

Later she remarried and came to live at Runaway Bay in the 1980s.

During this time she studied naturopathy and moved to Sydney where she opened a naturopathy clinic in 1987.

In 1995 she and Jeff moved to Bilambil Heights and now live at Terranora.

While the children were young Mrs Rogers did the usual volunteering in the P and C, CWA and Red Cross.

However, she found her niche in VIEW joining Twin Towns Day Club in 1996 and becoming vice president, president, zone councillor and national councillor. …
