CONDUCTED under Bowls Association rules, the carnival is open to anyone over the age of 18 who has been a bowls club president for one year in the past.

There will be eight games of fours, with 18 ends, played over four days at venues including Burnett, Brothers, Tantitha for mens, Bargara and Elliott Heads for ladies.

Winners will be decided on wins, plus margins, with two points for a win.

In the event of a draw, an extra end will be the decider.

Games director Ivan Stockwell will be busy during this carnival, because at the conclusion of each day's play his responsibility is to collect and collate all scorecards.

Then he has to create the next day's draw, and have them posted at every club where the carnival is taking place.

To add to the excitement, there is $3000 worth of prizes on offer.

Team winners and first, second and third runners-up all take home winnings, and the game winners of 32 games from day one to the end of carnival all share in prizes too. …
